Matthew Pillsbury is a French photographer now based in America and has had work shown in the Benrubi Gallery in New York. He has received a MFA from the School of Visual Arts in New York. His work features a variety of black and white and colour long exposures mainly of people. Pillsbury’s inspiration for long exposures started when he created the series ‘Screen Lives’ which showed long exposures of people engaging with their TV and eventually expanded to the use of technology in public as shown in the photographs I have collected below. In an interview about his recent work he states “it’s about our culture’s relationship to technology”.
