Visits
For this project I visited a local firework display where lots of people gathered in large groups. The display was at night so I did not need to use a filter and the weather stayed clear for me to take photographs outside without any problems. The display also had a funfair with amusement rides so I could capture the movement of those as well as people. The location also had a lot of bright lights and people who were walking with hand held lights showed up as a strange glow on some of my photographs which are hard to edit out. Moving the camera to focus away from the lights prevented the glow from the big lights but I could not prevent people from moving around with the hand held lights.
I have also visited Bury market as lots of people visit there and will gather in the narrow pathways although this made it hard to set up my tripod without getting in the way of other people. I overcame this by resting my camera on the shelf of one the stalls so I did not have to use my tripod.
To take photographs of people walking upstairs I visited a shopping centre where lots of people congregated on an escalator. The conditions and lighting where good as the photographs were taken inside and I managed to find an area underneath a stair case where my tripod would not get in the way of people passing by.
